God’s Invitation
Be still and know
that I am God.
Psalm 46:10
The Hebrew “yada” — “know” used in Psalm 46:10 does not imply that you sit quietly in God’s Presence and wait but rather that you literally “take your hands off! Relax!” Let Go and let God care for you.
In our hands-on-world occupied with thoughts of self-sufficiency, God offers you refuge, strength, and help in times of trouble. He offers you intimacy with the Almighty. He offers you an invitation to know Him.
In John 14:6 Jesus tells us “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (NKJV)
Today, right now, in this moment, no matter your life circumstance, God invites you to take your hands off, relax, “Be Still” and accept His invitation to know Him.
